October is small business month – one of our favourite times of the year. We’re so glad to celebrate the over 80 per cent of our members who have fewer than 50 employees, a deep connection to Winnipeg’s economy and a heart for our city.
We’re participating in a number of upcoming events to honour entrepreneurs and discuss issues facing SMEs – including Mayor Brian Bowman’s Small Business Summit and World Trade Centre Winnipeg’s Kickoff to Small Business Week.

We’d especially like you to join us on October 25 for Get Ready to Grow: The Small Business Panel. Hosted by Ibrahim “Obby” Khan and featuring Cori Poon (sweet C bakery), Amanda Buhse (Coal & Canary) and Prashant Modha (Mondetta), the luncheon is a frank, fun, informal conversation on how small businesses can start, maintain and capitalize on growth.
At the event we’ll create a photo wall, showing off the small businesses who make up the backbone of our city’s neighbourhoods. We invite you to submit a picture of your workplace, team or product below.
