Why not make the most of the short time we have and work outside!? Instead of scheduling your next client meeting in the boardroom or your office, hit up one of the great patios we have right here downtown.
AM Meetings:
OhDoughnuts
If you want to get your day started on a positive note, start it with a doughnut from OhDoughnuts. With a rotating menu of over 100 gourmet doughnuts including vegan, gluten-friendly options, there’s surely an option for everyone to be enjoyed on their cute outdoor patio.
Our personal favourite? The Cherry Amaretto with toasted almonds. The classic Vanilla Sprinkle comes up a close second. You can see their weekly menu here: https://bit.ly/2MWjLuc and if you pre-order, you can save 10%!
OhDoughnuts is located at 326 Broadway and open 7 a.m.- 4 p.m. or until sold out. They recently opened a second location at 1194 Taylor and although its patio-less, the same great donuts can be found at either location.
Fools + Horses
Just down the street from the Downtown OhDoughnuts location is local coffee shop Fools + Horses. Opened in 2015, Fools + Horses was one of the first local coffee shops to serve beer, wine and coffee in the same place—a popular concept in Europe.
Depending on the time of the day, you can order a Chai Latte (with a shot of Bailey’s, if you choose) and a breakfast sandwich, kombucha on tap and a miso Rueben sandwich or a beer from Little Brown Jug with some Truffle Parmesan Popcorn. Even better? You can enjoy it all on their Broadway location patio.
The food menu is only available at the Broadway location but you’ll be sure to find some other great local food options within the Market Food Hall at their Forks location. Fools + Horses Broadway is open 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. weekdays and 9 a.m.- 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Fairmont Winnipeg
Back for its seventh summer, the Fairmont Winnipeg is once again serving Backdoor Burgers on Thursdays throughout the summer. We can’t promise hosting a lunch meeting here won’t be messy but we can promise it’ll be delicious.
For only $15, you can enjoy a gourmet burger, house kettle chips and a drink on the pop-up Fairmont patio. Each week throughout the summer, the genius behind Backdoor Burgers, Chef Tim Palmer comes up with another delicious burger idea that we could only dream of.
This summer, we’ve seen the “Tastes of Portugal -The Bifana!!” Burger with Pounded Hylife Pork Loin, Piri Piri Marinade, Caramelized Onion, Capsicum Pepper Spread and Roast Garlic Pommery Aioli, the “In Queso-Emergency, Dial the VG” with CAB Brisket & Chuck Pattie, Guacamole Spread, Pico De Gallo, Queso Fresco Sauce, Green Leaf Lettuce and Chipotle Aioli Seeded Brioche Burger bun and “The Rueben Hood…” Burger featuring CAB Brisket & Chuck Pattie, Smoked Montreal Meat, Swiss Cheese Russian dressing, Sauerkraut and Boston lettuce on a Pain au Lait Bun.
If burgers aren’t your thing, you can also enjoy Backdoor BBQ on Tuesdays at the Fairmont. Both Backdoor Burgers and Backdoor BBQ start at 11:30 a.m. on their respective days and usually are a sell-out. Find out more about the events and how to get to the backdoor here: https://bit.ly/2Lw5ofh
LaRoca
It’s Friday afternoon, half the office is gone to the cabin and you’ve got a lunch meeting scheduled. Make the most of your Friday and have your meeting on Winnipeg’s newest double-decker patio at La Roca!
Their handcrafted, made fresh daily recipes combine elevated Mexican cuisine with a fun and captivating ambience and we promise, you will not be disappointed.
We highly recommend starting off with the table side guacamole or house made salsa trio and moving straight in to a three-taco platter sampler or a hearty burrito. If you still have room for dessert, the churros are the way to go. There’s a reason they’re the only dessert option for lunch.
If you’re looking for a drink to pair with your lunch, La Roca has 40+ tequilas on the menu and claims to have the best Margarita in the city!

The Forks
After a ton of upgrades and renovations in the last few years, The Forks has become a hub for socializing, playing sports, enjoying music, celebrations and exploring. One of our favourite new additions being The Common.
This summer, The Forks expanded The Common with an outdoor licensed patio with seating for 250 making the Forks the perfect place for after work drinks, rain or shine.
With over 25 different restaurant options in The Forks Market Food Hall including some of our local favourites, KYU Grill, Fergie’s Fish & Chips, Nuburger, Red Emb
er and Tall Grass Prairie and 40 taps of beer and wine curated by internationally acclaimed sommelier Veronique Rivest there’s something at The Forks for everyone.
And just like the rest of The Forks Market seating, guests are welcome to sit and enjoy the view—no purchase required.
So next time you’re meeting up with a friend or colleague after work, tell them to #MeetMeAtTheForks!
