The Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce is proud to partner with the YMCA-YWCA of Winnipeg for its Youth Entrepreneurship Program, which is set to begin with its first group on April 1.
Each month (for a total of seven months), the program will accept a new group of youths between the ages of 18 and 29 who are visible minorities, Indigenous, women or persons with a disability, and help them learn entrepreneurial skills, develop a business idea using the Business Model Canvas (a one-page tool to outline a business model) and connect them with entrepreneurship support services and local small businesses.
Each three-week program comprises two weeks of facilitated in-class learning, followed by a ‘networking week,’ where the group will get out into the community and meet with organizations that help support new entrepreneurs, like The Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce, Futurpreneur Canada, North Forge Technology Exchange, Launch Coworking, and World Trade Centre Winnipeg.
The program is currently accepting applications for it’s May program, as well as subsequent months.
