If you’re looking to invite some large, white furry friends to your event, Assiniboine Park is the only venue in Manitoba that allows polar bears.

Among tall trees, winding trails and open spaces, Assiniboine Park is one of Winnipeg’s most popular gathering spaces. It’s equipped to serve groups ranging in size for daytime and evening corporate events and receptions at Gateway to the Arctic, the Qualico Family Centre and the iconic Pavilion.

The park is known for its variety of venues and Assiniboine Park Zoo’s Gateway to the Arctic in the Journey to Churchill exhibit offers an exclusive-to-Winnipeg experience where guests can mix and mingle underneath a glass-ceiling tunnel while polar bears and playful seals swim above and around. The beautiful domed Aurora Borealis Theatre feature northern lights projected onto a 360-degree horizon, makes for an illuminating setting for private dinners or receptions.

The modern and classy Qualico Family Centre can host events from 30 to 200 people. Floor to ceiling windows bring the surrounding nature inside and show off a beautiful view of the duck pond. You may even catch a glimpse of a deer walking by.

The Pavilion at Assiniboine Park, one of Winnipeg’s most well-known landmarks, is once again available to host private events. Full of old world elegance and charm, the newly renovated Pavilion offers beautiful views of Assiniboine Park and features a gorgeous exterior patio for summer occasions.

When you book an event at the park, you don’t have to worry about finding an off-site caterer to serve food and drink at your celebration. Assiniboine Park has one of the best culinary teams in the city. Menus include everything from seafood to vegetarian full-course meals and cater to different taste buds.

While you may not be able to have your event in the arctic or the forest, Assiniboine Park Conservancy’s venues offer the closest thing, bringing you closer to nature and to each other. If you’d like more information on how to reserve a spot for your special occasion, visit assiniboinepark.ca.
